Rail Victoria is a free print-and-play strategy game. Inspired by the classic Railway Rivals of the 1970s and 1980s, this game focuses on the cut-throat expansion of the British rail network during the 19th century.
In this tribute, players compete to build the most efficient routes, connect major industrial hubs, and operate the best railway network. Each player in the game is a rapacious capitalist and owner of a prospective railway company. The object of the game is to make as much money as possible, crushing your rivals into the dirt whilst despoiling the environment and grinding the faces of the poor. You are white, male and wear a top hat. God is in his heaven, the rich man in his castle and and the poor man at his gate. Welcome to the Victorian Age…
The Goal
Our aim is to keep the spirit of Railway Rivals alive. I hope I have managed to create some decent digital resources which you can print at home and use to have as much fun in 2020s as we did in 1980s.
